How do I know if I’m pregnant?
Most women, if they’re pregnant, experience some similar symptoms. The first sign is usually a missed period. But, there are other pregnancy symptoms too. Are you experiencing any of these?

Early pregnancy symptoms
- Missed period
- Tender, swollen breasts
- Nausea with or without vomiting
- Increased urination
- Fatigue
- Moodiness
- Unusual food cravings or aversions
Every pregnancy, just like every woman, is unique. Some women experience every symptom while others don’t feel any. It’s also possible to have these symptoms as a result of another medical problem.
Symptoms without pregnancy
Sadly, within our country, we have a high rate of stillbirths and miscarriages. Pregnancy hormones may continue to be high for some time after the baby has died, so you may continue to feel pregnant and a pregnancy test may still show a positive result.
Most miscarriages happen in the first trimester of pregnancy (the first 12 weeks). It’s possible to have a miscarriage before you even realize you are pregnant.
